Yesterday my music director at The Blaze(the former KASR) asked me how long this Canadian music obsession has been going on. It was nice to be asked. My answer to him was around 15 I started listening to a show on CKLW in Windsor. It was a show hosted by Charlie O'Brien and a few others (Doug). I did not understand at the time that it was CKLW's way to get their Canadian content taken care of all at once. It was on every night and I would listen while doing homework. I would write down each song and artist then give a comment on it. I detested some of it like Bruce Cockburn or Rough Trade but most were my eye opener to Canadian music.
