Blue by The Jayhawks

One of the amazing things about my parents were how involved they were in my extra curricular activities throughout my life. As an 8th grader, my parents were coaches for my softball team at St. Matthews Lutheren School. Even in my adult life, they continued to support me by coming to KUKQ fests. They always enjoyed sitting back in the stands, watching all the goth kids. They would always get a kick out of kids talking to them and asking them why they were there. There were even kids who remembered them from fest to fest. My dad would get into the music, asking me for CDs. My mom would too but she would be more selective. One of her favorites was The Jayhawks. My parents went to see them with Tom Petty. That happened to be one of my worst nights in my life as a former friend got one of the Jayhawks to take my name off of the guest list. Long story but fortunate my parents were there. Anyway, my mom loved their song "Blue". I heard it the other day which of course caused me to break into tears. Tears are common from odd moments these days. Thanks god for my parents always being there. I suffer from them not being here when I need them now.
